The Waiau River flows directly below the veranda, the river provides fishing, kayaking and swimming for skilled folk.
Waikaremoana is a 40 minute drive away; there is secure parking for boats. Mahia Beach and Morere Hot Pools 50 minutes drive from the cottage.
There is a swimming pond set in a hectare of mature grounds along with the owners homestead.
