Signing up to Kiwi House Swap

Signing up is easy. Head to the Sign Up Page and fill in a few details. This gives you your own username and password to enter the site. From there you enter your property details – including images of your property and when/where you would like to swap.

New members also need to provide a copy of personal ID (such as driving license or passport) plus evidence of the property address (such as council rates letter or utility bill). Your listing will not go live until you have been verified by one of our team. Once your listing is live you can view member profiles and message potential swap partners.

Kiwi House Swap also allows you to contact other members via our safe and secure messaging service. All messaging within the site is private and we ask that our members always respond promptly, even if they cannot accommodate a swap.

You can also choose to communicate with a prospective swap partner via video or audio chat. This means you don’t need to share personal contact details until you both agree to the swap. Then it is up to you to arrange the swap date, any other conditions of the swap (such as insurance, pets, vehicles etc.) and you’re on your way to enjoying a great holiday in an amazing location, while potentially saving thousands of dollars on accommodation costs.

1. Lower cost membership subscriptions. We have just lowered our pricing to $NZD99 for a 12 month subscription and introduced a 6 month introductory subscription package.
2. We make it so easy to swap. No complicated rules, no points system. Simply message the members you would like to swap with and arrange from there!
3. Your membership lets you swap as many times as you like. So that could be a summer holiday in Papamoa, an Easter city break in Wellington and a winter ski holiday in Queenstown or Wanaka.
4. You can list up to 3 properties on a 12 month subscription or up to 5 on a 24 month membership. List your house, your family bach and your holiday home for more opportunities to swap. 
5. Our secure messaging platform means you contact potential house swap partners without using personal contact details. Beyond this you are welcome to share contact details and finalise your house swap.
6. Your listing page allows you to specify if you need pets taking care of, if you are happy to exchange vehicles as part of the swap and any other specific details you would like to share. This helps our members to find other like minded swap partners.
7. We are building our overseas membership. Many expat Kiwis want to return to NZ to spend time with family. London, New York, Tahiti – Kiwis like to travel the world and now it is your chance to be one of them!
