Beautifully renovated original 1904 villa with large barn set in lush gardens just ten minutes walk from Waikanae beach, cafes and Kapiti Island (nature reserve, day trips available). Out the back there’s a gorgeous view of wetlands and Tararua mountains. Close by is the lovely Waikanae river and lagoon. Our house feels remote yet Waikanae town and Paraparaumu are a few km away and if you want city, Wellington’s a 45 minute drive. Alternatively trains go every 20 mins along a pretty coastal route
The house is spacious with high ceilings and original polished floors. Two large bathrooms with bath and shower. Its surrounded by veranda and beyond that gardens including vegetable patch (you’re welcome to eat from it) and a wooded hillside meadow going down to a ponded area.
We ve a very affectionate cat who needs feeding .
